This is a question to Congo Team... Maybe it 's possibile to create beckup option for PC / MAC.
It can be non full functional software. Only play functions, without RECORD UPDATE CREATE GROUPS, PALETS etc. Only for backup.

whichever keystrokes you want - for instance only Playback functions.

The Eos/Ion equivalent would be the Eos or Ion Remote Playback Unit (RPU)

It also has mappable buttons on the facepanel for what functions you desire.
